Why we opened this campaign
Hanukkah is a time of light, warmth, and miracles. But just as important, this holiday falls during the Israeli winter, when the country is swept by piercing winds, heavy rains, and, in some areas, even snow!
During this season, we want to give a special warm gift to families of Russian-speaking immigrants who are struggling financially. Our goal is to help them purchase quality warm clothing and shoes for their children.
In many of these families, especially those who have recently arrived and are still adjusting to life in the country, parents are forced to count every penny. There’s no spare shekel for clothing, and children often rely on second-hand donations or hand-me-downs from neighbors.
Beyond the practical side, it’s important for every child to have clothing that is warm, comfortable, fits properly, and looks like what their peers wear. It may seem small, but the right clothing can have a huge impact on a child’s adaptation to their new environment—whether they feel accepted in class or among friends.
Our goal is to help 140 children by providing vouchers of 150 shekels each for clothing and shoes. This will allow them to face the cold Israeli season with joy and a sense of care from their community.
Join our campaign and make your contribution to creating a small miracle. Let your gift become the light of Hanukkah for these children—keeping them warm not only during winter but also giving them confidence in the kindness of our community.
