Targeted Help

We help Jewish families break out of crisis — for good.

Not one-off charity. Not "here's a shekel, good luck." Every family gets a plan, a social worker, and ongoing support until they are back on their feet.

Transparent monthly reports

Most charity is one-time, emotional giving. A month later, the family is back in crisis.

Four Pillars of One System

We don't just send money. For every family we build a long-term plan and walk alongside them — until the crisis is truly over.

01

Targeted Help

Dedicated campaigns for specific families — with names, faces, and a clear need. You see exactly who you are helping and where the money goes.

02

Social Worker

Our social workers secure what families are rightfully owed by the state: Bituach Leumi, disability benefits, single-mother allowance. Returned to families — ₪1.2M+.

03

Financial Literacy

We teach families to plan a budget, deal with debt, and save — so the help builds up instead of draining away.

04

Long-Term Support

We don't disappear after the first transfer. Every family stays with us for months or years — until they can stand on their own.

How We Work with Each Family

01

Application

A family reaches out through the website, by referral, or through a social worker.

02

Assessment

Our team visits the family. We learn their situation, needs, and context.

03

Plan

We build an individual plan: aid, legal steps, training.

04

Support

A social worker stays in touch. We adjust the plan as the family comes out of crisis.

Transparency in Numbers

Every amount is published in our monthly reports. No rounding, no "approximately."

Common Questions

What People Usually Ask

How can I be sure that the families you write about really are in need?
We verify every situation before publishing. We collect documents about the financial situation, including bank statements for the past six months. We confirm the information from independent sources — social workers, community leaders, and people familiar with the situation. Every application undergoes an independent expert review. On average, the process takes about two weeks. Of every ten requests, only two make it onto the website.
Are the photos in the targeted assistance section genuine?
Yes — but only with the family's consent. We maintain confidentiality and do not disclose the personal data of those in our care without their explicit consent. If a family asks for anonymity, we use a photo by which they cannot be identified, or a stock image. Questions about a specific fundraiser — in the chat or at [email protected].
Why help through the fund if I can help directly?
The fund pools the contributions of many donors — this is how an amount sufficient for real support is gathered. We verify every request: the truthfulness of the situation and the reasonableness of the amount requested, and in disputed cases we bring in independent experts. And we have something a private individual usually does not: experience, verification, and constant contact with the family. Loved ones often want to help but do not always have the knowledge and the objective outside perspective to do so. Through the fund, help becomes more reliable and better targeted.
I know people you raised funds for, and I'm not sure they are really in need.
We understand your doubts — especially if you know the family personally. But assessing need is difficult work, and we take it upon ourselves. A family may not reveal everything about their situation to acquaintances, out of pride or embarrassment. And they cannot always clearly describe the scale of the problem themselves. We do this every day and know how to assess a situation with good reason. For more details, see the answer to "How can I be sure that the families really are in need?".
How does "Yad Yitzchok" develop financial literacy among immigrants?
We have a "School of Financial Literacy" program for the most vulnerable families. It helps them master the basics of budget planning, debt management, and saving. The goal is for immigrants to become financially self-sufficient in Israel.
How can I be sure that the stories you write about are real?
Trust is the foundation of charity, which is why we work openly. We are ready to answer any questions about our fundraisers and provide supporting documents. Write to us in the chat or at [email protected].
