With the holidays approaching, we encourage you not to forget those who have a hard time celebrating this festive season due to poverty and destitution.
During the High Holidays, we are collecting donations to purchase groceries for those in challenging circumstances. As stated in the Book of Nehemiah (8:10), "Go, eat rich foods and drink sweet drinks, and send portions to those who have nothing prepared."
There are different opinions among Torah experts about Rosh Hashanah's two-day observance. One suggests that the first day assesses our personal traits, while the second day examines our social connections. This implies that a negative verdict on the first day can be reversed by positive results on the second day, even if we were initially listed in the "book of death."

Before the holidays, requests for help from low-income families multiply. Now is the time to lend them a helping hand. We are increasing our support to help make the holidays more comfortable for those in need by providing groceries including poultry, fish, eggs, vegetables and others. We also provide food accessories - "simanim" - for the Rosh Hashanah holiday.
In case of families with small children, the financial assistance covers expenses for baby formula, diapers, and cereal. This support allows these families to face the holidays with a sense of confidence and overcome daily challenges.
