Why we opened this campaign
Between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur—the Aseres Yemei Teshuvah—we enter the most awe-filled days of the year. In these days, Klal Yisrael observes the minhag of Kapparot (Kapparos), reminding us of life’s fragility and the weight of every action.
Kapparos is more than a rite; it’s an opportunity to join spiritual avodah with concrete gemilus chasadim. By performing the minhag—customarily through money given to tzedakah—we can support fellow Yidden in difficult circumstances, turning personal purification into real help for another Jew.
The Yad Yitzchok Foundation runs “Kapparot Online,” enabling anyone to fulfill the minhag properly while extending a hand to those in need.
Where your donation goes:
- Purchasing food for the seudas hamafsekes and for the Yom Tovim—meat, poultry, fish, produce, and all that’s needed to honor Yom Kippur and Sukkos.
- General assistance for families in crisis: widows, single mothers, large families, and those facing severe hardship.
“Kapparot with Yad Yitzchok” has become an integral part of our avodah. Each year it helps dozens of families enter the Yamim Tovim with dignity, calm, and hope. This is not only material support—it is a source of bracha for every participant in this mitzvah.
Join this holy mission.
May your tzedakah stand as a zechus, bringing light, protection, and blessing to your home for the entire coming year.
Campaign Goal:
