Why we opened this campaign
Between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur come some of the most meaningful days of the Jewish year — a time for prayer, repentance, personal reflection, and acts of kindness.
During these days, many people observe the ancient custom of Kaparot by giving money to tzedakah.
Kaparot is an opportunity to connect the spiritual with a concrete act of kindness. Through Yad Yitzhak’s Kaparot campaign, your donation becomes direct assistance for people facing difficult life circumstances.
Right now, there is not enough to help everyone
This Tishrei, the Yad Yitzhak Foundation plans to support 310 families: single parents, elderly people, large families, people coping with serious illness, and those who until recently were managing on their own.
Our overall goal is ₪250,000.
So far, we have raised ₪16,000 — enough to cover assistance for approximately 20 families, based on an average of ₪800 per family.
Around 290 families are still waiting.
Each family will receive ₪500–1,000, depending on household size and individual circumstances. This support will help cover food and other essential expenses during the holiday period.

What Your Donation Can Provide
₪180 — part of the assistance for one family.
₪500 — significant support for a small family.
₪800 — on average, fully covers assistance for one family.
₪1,000 — support for a larger family.
₪1,600 — on average, assistance for two families.
₪8,000 — on average, assistance for ten families.
You can choose any amount.
Every donation joins with others and helps us add another family to the list of those whose support is already secured.
