Why we opened this campaign
My husband and I are a religious family living in a small community in the Gush Etzion area, near Jerusalem. We have two young children, aged 4.5 and 1.5, and we are active members of our local community.
We are not used to asking for financial help, as we have always managed on our own. However, our family is now going through an extremely difficult period, made even more challenging by serious health problems.

After the birth of our younger child, I developed prolonged orthopedic complications. After extensive treatment, my condition improved significantly, but I am still limited in the amount and type of work I can do, and I continue to undergo a lengthy rehabilitation process. Several months ago, I also had to undergo two surgeries to remove melanoma. I remain under medical supervision and continue to receive the necessary medical care.
However, the most difficult challenge has been the deterioration of my husband’s health. He has always been our family’s primary provider. For the past several years, since the events of October 7, 2023, he has suffered from severe headaches. Despite numerous examinations, doctors have still been unable to determine their cause.
Several months ago, he also began experiencing severe abdominal pain. During one particularly acute episode, he had to be hospitalized. Since then, he has undergone many diagnostic procedures, but apart from a small hernia, doctors have not yet found anything that could explain the severity of his condition.
My husband’s work involves heavy physical labor, and because of the constant pain, he has effectively lost the ability to work. He now struggles even with the most ordinary daily tasks, and we do not know how long his treatment and recovery may take. We continue consulting different specialists in the hope of receiving an accurate diagnosis and finding an effective treatment.
Because we are both self-employed and my husband provided most of our family’s income, his inability to work immediately placed our family in an extremely difficult financial situation. At the same time, we are dealing with numerous medical and everyday challenges while living under constant stress and pressure.
Until now, we have received help from relatives — I have no family in Israel, and my husband’s parents are retirement-age olims — as well as from friends, our community, and a local charity. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has helped us through this period.
We have also begun applying for the government assistance to which we are entitled through Bituach Leumi. However, this is a lengthy process, and the outcome may not be known for many months. Unfortunately, we are not currently receiving any government support, while our family already urgently needs additional financial assistance.
Your support will help our family cover the most essential expenses — housing, food, some medical costs, and care for our young children — while our government assistance is being processed and we continue searching for the cause of my husband’s illness and an effective treatment.

Should you choose to support our family with a voluntary donation or direct your maaser toward helping us, we would be sincerely grateful.
Thank you!
