The month of Tishrei is a special month!
This month isfilled with pure acts of charity and an endless series of High Holidays that are interrelated.
Families gather around the holiday table in a unique atmosphere, and each gathering goes beyond just a holiday celebration. At this moment, everyone is working towards their future goals. This is an ongoing process that lasts throughout the year.
After fulfilling the mitzvahs of Rosh Hashanah and becoming more spiritual on Yom Kippur, we come to Sukkot, which raises us to an even higher spiritual level.
And while everyone is rushing to build a sukkah and prepare for the festive meals of Sukkot, we, the Yad Yitzchok team, do not stop working for those in need.
Now is not the time to leave them in need!
As part of the "A Holiday to Every Home" project, we organize food packages for Sukkot for those who cannot provide themselves and their families with the food they need including meat, poultry, fish, eggs, vegetables, some staple food and special treats for children.
Each holiday basket is customized to the needs of the family and is gathered according to the number of individuals in the family. Whether a widow, a single mom or a large family, everyone will receive a basket to fit their personal needs.
This basket allows families to enjoy festive meals throughout the holidays and feel happy and content.
The average cost of a food parcel that we distribute during the holidays is about 1200 shekels.
The "Holiday to Every Home" project is a vital and valuable part of the foundation's work.
It aims to bring brightness and optimism to every household and enable those who are in need to celebrate the holidays with respect.
It is possible for us to make happy memories during holiday meals for those who are struggling with the weight of economic challenges.
