Why we opened this campaign
Every day, thousands of lone soldiers serve in the Israel Defense Forces far from their parents, families, and support systems.
For most of us, home is the place we return to after a long day. A place where someone is waiting for us. A place to eat, rest, talk, and simply feel that we belong.
Many lone soldiers do not have that. That is why The Michael Levin Base is opening a new support center for lone soldiers in Tel Aviv.
This will be a place where soldiers can come after their service, meet friends, receive guidance and support, celebrate Shabbat and Jewish holidays, study, work, and simply feel that they are not alone.
The space has already been secured. The staff and coordinators are ready.
But right now, the center is almost empty.
To turn this space into a true home, we need to equip:
• A lounge and community area (sofas, bookshelves, books, coffee tables)
• A workspace (desks, office chairs, computers, printers, charging stations)
• An education and events area (tables, chairs, projector, screen, sound system)
• A social and recreation area (television, gaming console, board games)
• A kitchen and dining area (refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, dishes and kitchen supplies)
• Infrastructure and safety essentials (first-aid equipment, internet, storage units, mezuzot and office equipment)
• Jewish and spiritual resources (siddurim, chumashim, Shabbat and Havdalah sets)
To fully equip the new center, we need to raise 65,000 NIS.
Every chair. Every desk. Every siddur. Every coffee mug. These are not just pieces of furniture or equipment.
They are part of a place that will become a home for soldiers who are defending Israel while living far from their families.
We cannot replace their parents. But together, we can help create a place they can truly call home!
Let's build it together.
