A bulletproof shield enables the Jerusalem Shield rapid response unit to cross a fire line and withstand heavy gunfire during an encounter with terrorists.
When a fighter holds the shield, he becomes a moving wall. It is highly effective against directed fire, especially in narrow areas such as stairwells or corridors.
This is why professional rapid response teams use the shield as protection when moving through urban environments.
