Why we opened this campaign
For the third year in a row, the Volokhov home echoes with “Kol sasón ve-kol simchá”—yet another child is stepping under the chuppah! This time it’s Chana, daughter of Rav Mikhoel and Shulamit Volokhov.
Rav Mikhoel has devoted his life to Torah and community service: he teaches youth and adults in the STARS and Lech Lecha Minsk programs, answers kashrut questions in a popular Facebook group, and serves as a shochet. His wife Shulamit is his right hand and faithful partner in every endeavor.
The Volokhovs divide their time between Moscow and Minsk, are raising four children, support two who are already married, and still remain a pillar of their entire community.
Chana was born in Moscow, attended the “Reshit Chochmah” school her father founded, completed high school in Pinsk, and has lived in Israel for several years. She is now studying at the Beit Bina seminary and works as a madrichah in a Beit Ulpan. She loves children and dreams of a modest, beautiful wedding.
The groom, Yonatan Simcha Dubovitsky from Kogalym, is a graduate of the Torat Chaim yeshiva. He spent many years as a madrich at the Etz Chaim camp and as a kashrut mashgiach. Three years ago he moved to Israel and joined the Dvar Shmuel yeshiva.
A wedding is an immense blessing—but for a family carrying so many responsibilities, it is also a significant financial challenge.
Let’s come together to support this wonderful couple—Chana and Yonatan—and help them build a Jewish home with joy and peace of mind.
Every contribution counts. Even a small, heartfelt gift is a brick in their shared future home.
