Why we opened this campaign
Esther Kay, a mother preparing for her son’s wedding, has reached out for help. Esther, who came from Russia and converted to Judaism, is a renowned author of books about Safed and Kabbalah, which she published at her own expense and shared with the world. As a translator, she also worked on editing the Rebbe’s Letters in 23 volumes.
To support her family, Esther and her husband Eliyahu worked in the tourism sector in the Golan Heights, Safed, and across the north. However, due to constant artillery shelling, this sector has been devastated.
Now, Esther is facing a significant moment in any mother’s life – the wedding of her eldest son, Avremi. Finding a bride was challenging as he underwent a complex surgery to remove his auditory nerve and can only perform specific jobs now.
Avremi’s fiancee, Chaya Mushka, is continuing her studies to become a specialist in special education.
The significant event is scheduled for the 15th of Av (21.08.24), and the family needs to find 40,000 shekels to pay for wedding for 150 guests. The Yad Yitzchok Foundation has decided to help raise 10,000 shekels of this amount to cover the hall rental. To make this celebration happen, the mother has turned to us for help.
Let’s come together to help this young couple organize a proper Jewish wedding and celebrate the birth of a new family in a joyful, festive, and truly celebratory atmosphere!
Your donations are an invaluable gift to Esther Kay and her family, a soothing balm for a mother’s worried heart. Esther places her trust in the Almighty, and each of us has the chance to become an instrument of His will. Remember, no donation is too small; every contribution is a priceless part of the greater good, a manifestation of kindness and care for our neighbors.
