Why we opened this campaign
“…And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God—
you, your son and your daughter, your male and female servant,
the Levite, the orphan and the widow….”
(Deuteronomy 16:11)
Shavuot is the festival of the Giving of the Torah—and of Ruth’s kindness.
The Torah teaches us to share joy with those who have none.
Who we want to help right now
- Single mothers raising children entirely on their own
- Large families hovering on the edge of poverty
- Elderly olim (immigrants) living on minimal stipends
- People who have lost their job, fallen ill, or fallen behind on rent
Why Shavuot?
- On this night we read the Book of Ruth—a story of generosity and loyalty that changes destinies.
- The Torah commands us to share our joy with “the Levite, the orphan, and the widow.”
- Our sages teach that kindness shown during Shavuot “opens the gates of Heavenly bounty.”
🌾 Let no table be empty this Shavuot.
We have already identified the most urgent cases—now it is up to us, to you, to all of Am Yisrael.
Yad Yitzchak thanks you for every shekel, every prayer, and every share.
“Just as gentle Ruth gathered sheaves in the fields, we gather shekels from the heart.”
💙 Together we are unstoppable!
