Why we opened this campaign
3 years ago, Rachel fled the war in Ukraine. To the sound of explosions, she left almost everything behind, carrying only a small backpack and her documents. Israel became her new home, where she hoped to find peace at last.
But soon a new war began in her new country. Sirens, alarms, bomb shelters—the fear she thought she had left in the past returned. Constant tension, sleeplessness, panic attacks, and a sense of insecurity robbed Rachel of her ability to work, leaving her without a stable income. Then another piece of news arrived—she was pregnant.
She is now alone with no support from her husband. By court order he is forbidden to approach her because he poses a danger to them both. Rachel now faces not only caring for herself but also full responsibility for her unborn child. Today she is searching for a place to live where she can spend the final months of her pregnancy and welcome her baby in safety and peace.
For this story to have a hopeful ending, we need your help.
Fundraising Goal: Cover six months of rent for Rachel—the last months of her pregnancy and the first three months after the baby is born.
This will allow her to regain strength, focus on her child, and pass through this period without the constant stress of wondering whether she will have a roof over her head tomorrow.
Every donation is an investment in a new life, a chance for mother and baby to begin their next chapter in stability and safety.
