Why we opened this campaign
The month of Tishrei is a special gift from G-d to the Jewish people. We entered the New Year on Rosh HaShanah, were purified on Yom Kippur, and have now merited to reach Sukkot—the festival of joy, closeness to G-d, and faith.
Sukkot is a time when a Jew leaves his regular home and builds a temporary one—a sukkah—declaring: “My protection is not the walls, but the care of the Almighty.” The holiday fills the heart with trust, the home with light, and the festive meal with deep meaning.
The Sukkot meal is not just food. It is a mitzvah that unites generations and fills the home with spiritual joy. In these days, we share not only our food, but also warmth, hospitality, and faith in goodness.
Sadly, there are families who cannot afford even a simple festive meal. They lack the basics needed to set a dignified table and fulfill the will of the Torah.
While some are building their sukkah, choosing the arba minim (Four Species), and planning their meals, others do not know how they will feed their children.
The Yad Yitzchok Foundation continues to work so that joy will reign in their homes as well.
📦 We are raising funds for the foods needed for the festive meals:
- Meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, challah, fruits, and beverages.
- Baby supplies—baby food, diapers, cereals.
- Individual assistance for large families, widows, and single mothers.
- Support for elderly people living alone, so they too can feel the warmth of the holiday.
💬 Our Sages teach: “Whoever gladdens the poor on Yom Tov gladdens the Almighty Himself.”
Your support is more than material help—it is the fulfillment of a mitzvah that opens the gates of blessing and fills hearts with light.
🙏 Join this holy mission.
May the joy of Sukkot enter every home, and may no Jewish family be left aside from the light of the holiday.
