Why we opened this campaign
We turn to you with a sincere request to support our young family, which is standing at the threshold of building a Jewish home according to the laws of the Torah and the traditions of Israel.
We are new immigrants. Our decision to create a family was conscious and deeply meaningful: we wish to build a home based on faith, responsibility, mutual support, and Jewish values. However, our life journey has not been an easy one.
I am Carmel, the bride, deprived of parental support, an orphan. My fiancé Yakov is a convert, a person who consciously and through great inner effort chose the Jewish path and the people of Israel. We do not have a family that could serve as our support — neither morally nor financially. All expenses related to the wedding, renting a home, and starting our life together are covered solely by our very modest savings.
Despite the objective difficulties, we do not lose hope or faith. We are ready to work, study, and build our future honestly and with dignity. But this very first stage — the beginning of family life — has turned out to be especially difficult and vulnerable for us.
Any help from the foundation will be for us not just material support, but true participation in a great mitzvah — helping to create a Jewish home in Israel. It will give us the opportunity to begin our life together with a sense of calm, confidence, and human dignity.
We will be deeply grateful for any involvement, understanding, and support.
With respect and sincere appreciation,
Carmel and Yakov
