The story

Why we opened this campaign

This fundraiser began with a personal message. Michael wrote to one of the bloggers we work with:

“Hello. My name is Michael. I’m currently serving. I’m writing with a request. In two‑to‑three weeks we’re scheduled to enter Gaza. We have a small shortage of gear. If it’s possible and you’re willing, it would be great to organize a fundraiser.”

Today we’re sharing his story—because behind that message stand not just one young man, but an entire group of soldiers who need your help.

Michael is 23. He immigrated to Israel just over two years ago and lives with his mother, grandmother, grandfather, and younger sister.

When the war began, he volunteered for the army. He has been serving since March 2024 and is now finishing a commanders’ course in the Bislah training base. Within the next week he and his comrades are due to gain frontline experience in Gaza.

Right now Michael’s unit is short of essential items because of supply delays and red tape. We’re not talking about luxuries—these are things they need to complete their tasks and stay safe.

What we need to buy:

  • Backpacks that can handle heavy weight and stress

  • Protective goggles

  • Additional hydration systems (CamelBaks)

  • Tactical gloves

  • Vest pouches

  • Tactical knives and multitools

  • Mounts, grips, and other useful weapon accessories

  • Consumables: duct tape, rope, fastening hardware

This gear isn’t for comfort; it’s for mobility and the ability to work effectively. We know we can’t cover everything, but we’ll try to supply as much as possible.

Why the fundraiser is urgent:

In two–three weeks the platoon must enter the sector. The army supplies what it can, but deliveries don’t always arrive on time, so it’s critical to act quickly and fill the gaps.

To make it in time, we must raise the funds, purchase the gear, and deliver it to the unit as soon as possible.

We’re talking about 15 soldiers. Each of them serves under real threat. We can help them be better prepared. This is direct aid to real people.

How to take part:

Any amount will help us close this fundraiser.

We’ll handle all logistics and report on every purchase.

If you want to support Michael and his fellow soldiers—now is the moment.
