“I'm afraid of letting my family down. They may become homeless because of my illness…”

“My life changed dramatically a year ago as a result of a scary diagnosis - 3rd degree cancer (melanoma). This is a serious type of cancer that has a serious impact on a person's physical and emotional well-being and needs to be treated immediately - aggressively. It shook my world, and my life since then has been a struggle for survival.

This is the hardest letter I have ever written. I am ashamed to ask for help, but now I have no choice. My family and I are on the edge, and any small help makes a huge difference.

I have always strived to be strong and supportive of my family and everyone around me, yet now I am in despair. Today, I am faced with the need for financial assistance. To prevent this terrible disease from making my family homeless, a sum of 150,000 shekels is required.

I have to undergo two more heavy treatment courses of immunotherapy and then surgery, which will, unfortunately, leave me unable to work for a long time. We are in a very difficult financial situation, facing debts beyond our ability to pay off on our own. I have asked everyone to help, and our community has already done a lot. But unfortunately, we don't have enough money to keep us from this terrible destiny.”
