The story

Why we opened this campaign

My name is Natalia. I am the mother of two daughters — 18-year-old Victoria, who is currently preparing for military service, and 8-year-old Tatiana.

In 2022, we made aliyah to Israel from Belarus. Later, I got divorced and was left raising my two daughters on my own. We currently live in a rented apartment in Kiryat Bialik.

For the past three years, I have earned a living through cleaning work. I registered as self-employed, worked independently, and did everything I could not to depend on anyone. I am used to supporting my family on my own and asking for help only when there is truly no other option.

Now, that moment has come.

On July 30, I suddenly developed severe pain in my legs. My condition worsened, and I also began experiencing serious stomach and intestinal problems. The acute phase has now passed, but I still have great difficulty walking and physically cannot work the way I used to.

An MRI of my brain and spine is scheduled for September 27. Until the examination is completed, there is no final diagnosis.

I have applied to Bituach Leumi, Israel’s National Insurance Institute, and I am gathering all the necessary medical documents. But the process takes time, while rent, bills, groceries, and my children’s everyday expenses need to be paid right now.

My only regular income at the moment is NIS 1,500 a month in child support, and even those payments are frequently delayed. This month, I have not received anything yet. Recently, my former husband has barely been contributing to the children’s expenses.

That is why I need help now, so that my daughters and I can get through this difficult period until my medical examinations are completed and I begin receiving assistance from Bituach Leumi. The funds are needed primarily for rent, groceries, utility bills, and basic everyday expenses.

I do not intend to remain out of work. I am already looking for ways to earn money that I can manage in my current condition. My hands work well — just not very quickly — and my mind works fast.

That means you can help not only through a donation. If you know of suitable remote work, administrative part-time work, or any other job that does not require significant physical effort, that would also be an enormous help.

All of these circumstances can be confirmed with documents, including medical records, the MRI referral, and documentation of my application to Bituach Leumi.

Right now, Yad Yitzchok’s goal is to give Natalia some time and financial stability so she can complete her medical examinations, recover, and once again support her family independently.

Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference.

Thank you to everyone who chooses not to look away.
