Why we opened this campaign
Igor (Igal) is 50 years old and lives alone in the city of Acre. He once had a family, a job he loved, and a stable life. But over the past few years, everything has changed.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Igor lost his job. This was followed by a difficult divorce, depression, and serious health problems.
Today, Igor has a 100% disability rating and is unable to work. He suffers from epilepsy, has undergone heart surgery, and struggles with sleep apnea.
Recently, doctors diagnosed him with another condition — bruxism. This causes involuntary, intense clenching of the jaw and grinding of the teeth during sleep. As a result, his teeth are gradually wearing down and deteriorating.
To prevent further damage to his teeth, Igor urgently needs a custom-made night guard that will protect his teeth while he sleeps.
The cost of the night guard is 5,915 shekels.
For someone who lives alone, cannot work, and relies entirely on disability benefits, this amount is simply unaffordable.
We are launching a fundraising campaign to raise 5,915 shekels and fully cover the cost of Igor's essential dental night guard.
All funds raised will go directly toward its purchase.
Igor has already been through so much. Today, we have an opportunity to help him address at least one of his health problems and prevent further damage to his teeth.
