Last month we helped his mother — a new immigrant with complex health issues — receive additional hours of a metapelet, old-age benefits, and a place in a beit avod. While waiting for placement, we found her a spot in a maon yom, which turned out to be an even better solution for the family (the mother can stay home with her relatives while spending the day in a safe, supervised environment).

He initially asked for assistance in obtaining complex multifocal glasses. We found an organization willing to subsidize 80% of the cost. We also arranged food support from a nonprofit helping people with disabilities.
At the end of August, his air conditioner broke. Our social worker found an organization ready to cover 80% of a new unit. The client refused to pay the remaining share. We then arranged a free technician visit through the revaha. Cooperation with the client was discontinued at the initiative of the fund.
3️⃣ O., 59 y/o (Raanana)
Applied with a status problem. She immigrated from Ukraine as a married woman, but her husband had been missing and not in contact for a long time. We helped prepare documents for a divorce due to her husband’s disappearance. A court case is currently ongoing in Ukraine. Once it is completed, her status in Israel will be updated.
4️⃣ R., 39 y/o (Jerusalem)
A family with four children. The husband is in halat due to health reasons, and the wife could not confirm disability. They have large debts for utilities and school fees, and difficulties affording food.
We conducted a targeted fundraising campaign for 12,500 NIS.
We also resolved their legal and social issues: arranged proper dismissal for the husband so he can receive unemployment benefits and submitted him for a new disability committee.
We arranged a reevaluation of the wife’s disability at Bituach Leumi, but unfortunately, she was denied.
A revaha file was opened, and the family received a discount for daycare for their 1.5-year-old son.
We also arranged food deliveries from revaha and Chabad Jerusalem.
The family refused career counseling and employment help for the able-bodied wife.

For several months we have been handling a complicated Bituach Leumi case regarding disability recognition after a work injury. As of late August, he was granted only 30% disability. In September we filed an appeal, and after reconsideration, the committee added another 10%, increasing the benefits.
6️⃣ N., 46 y/o (Rosh Ha’Ayin)
Came in August with two issues: searching for social housing (he is seriously ill and lives with his mother) and settling a conflict with his ex-wife regarding visitation with children (resolved in August).
In September he viewed two apartments and moved into one at the end of the month.

7️⃣ A., 39 y/o (Bat Yam)
Requested help restoring documents after an accident. We prepared all paperwork for the Ministry of Interior and booked an appointment. He needs to appear and receive the documents independently.
8️⃣ M., 49 y/o (Lod)
Asked for financial assistance for speech therapy for his sick child. We found an organization that began covering the therapy sessions.
We also helped schedule necessary medical evaluations.
The first check is on 20.10. We maintain contact and will help secure the child’s proper status and benefits.
9️⃣ Y., 77 y/o (Nahariya)
Cannot walk independently, and his apartment is unsuitable for a non-ambulatory disabled person. He requested assistance in obtaining state funding for renovations.
We ensured a fast home visit by the Ministry of Health committee. The committee confirmed that the apartment needs reconstruction, including widening the corridor for wheelchair access. He is now in the queue for assistance, and we are monitoring the case.
🔟 S., 22 y/o (Haifa)
Cut a tendon at work. Requested assistance with employer compensation for a workplace injury. We helped prepare all documents, and she received compensation.
1️⃣1️⃣ A., 44 y/o (Netanya)
Asked for help receiving any support from Bituach Leumi.
Formally married but is in fact a single mother raising three children alone. Her husband is in Israel on an A5 visa (family reunification) and refuses to divorce due to fear of deportation.
We opened a revaha file, secured a daycare discount for the youngest child, and arranged weekly food deliveries.
A free lawyer is already working on the divorce. We monitor the case.
1️⃣2️⃣ E., 46 y/o (Tel Aviv)
A very complex case. We essentially have to protect the rights of his disabled son while assisting the father and simultaneously performing oversight.
The father received government funding to buy a medical-adapted car but spent the money on personal projects — he regrets this.
He asked us to help find an organization that could give him a 150,000 NIS interest-free loan.
We involved revaha and opened a file in a way that:
— protected the child from potential removal from the home;
— required the father to report all spending of “child funds.”
He will have to repay the misused money (we are negotiating a flexible repayment plan). Funds for a new car will be provided only after partial repayment and strictly as a targeted voucher.
1️⃣3️⃣ T., 71 y/o (Ashkelon)
Requested help obtaining old-age benefits. She currently receives nothing because she is considered married, though her husband lives in Russia.
We found a lawyer and submitted an appeal to Bituach Leumi. The committee is scheduled for 01/12. We will accompany her throughout the process.
1️⃣4️⃣ M., 68 y/o (Kiryat Yam)
Asked for help with food. We found an organization that provides weekly dry food packages plus fresh meat and fish. She now receives them weekly, as well as fruits and vegetables once a week from revaha.
1️⃣5️⃣ E., 44 y/o (Jerusalem)
Requested help increasing disability percentage and receiving housing assistance.
We gathered all documents, and her committee meeting for increased disability is at the end of October.
We also secured a school discount for her younger daughter.
1️⃣6️⃣ K., 37 y/o (Jerusalem)
Requested help receiving pitzuim (compensation).
We collected and submitted all documents, and she received the full amount.
