The Hachnasat Kallah project is a project to help orphan brides, poor brides and brides who have undergone giyur (conversion), in organizing a wedding and arranging everyday life for a new family.
All kinds of brides and grooms turn to us. Sometimes, these are children from low-income families who live in Israel, but more often they are grooms and brides who have recently arrived from small towns in the countries of the former USSR.
Everyone who turns to us has his own story, someone serves in the army or is doing sherut leumi (alternative service), someone is getting an education, someone is studying in a yeshiva, and someone is working. Some parents work hard for several hundred dollars a month, some have retired parents, some have health problems, and some are orphans.
To give the bride in marriage is a commandment that the sages singled out separately from the general rule "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Vayikra 19:18; Rambam Avel 14:1).This is one of the commandments, for which a person receives a reward already in this world, in particular, this is a merit for recovery from diseases and the abolition of hefty heavenly judgments. It is said in several places in the Talmud and quoted in the Shulchan Aruch (Even HaEzer 65:1) that the commandment to make the bride and groom happy is very great.
Obviously, every bride strives to beautify herself for the groom, so help the poor bride find the means to make herself a beautiful hairstyle, make-up, buy or rent a gorgeous dress and jewelry for the wedding, as well as assisting in decorating the celebration - fulfilling the commandment “to make the bride and groom happy”.
Aforementioned from the importance of all of the above, within the framework of the Hachnasat Kallah project, we founded the “Wedding Salon for Brides”, in which a poor bride receives at our salon for free, everything that she could not afford to buy in a regular salon at market prices. Thus, coming to our salon, the poor bride receives quality service, where she feels worthy of receiving service in a prestigious salon, avoiding irrational spending, because most of our brides are new to Israel and are completely unfamiliar with the local service market.
Anyone can take part in the "Hachnasat Kallah" project in two ways:
1. Donate money for a specific wedding.
2. Donate money for the activities of the salon.
The collected money for the "Hachnasat Kallah Wedding Salon" will go to:
