From the beginning of the month of Adar, until the holiday of Purim, there is a widespread custom to collect money for “personal” needs.
Some are forced to ask for themselves, because they are poor. Some collect at synagogues and yeshivas, in order to spread the light of Torah. And some turn to their friend when they are not able to make it on their own. This goes in accordance with what is written in the Shulchan Aruch: “People on Purim do not think about who to give tzedakah to in the first place, and to whom in the last: they give it to everyone who reaches out.”
On the eve of this Purim, I want to turn to you personally, as the head of the Yad Yitzhak foundation. The foundation needs your cooperation.
In addition to the assistance that we provide to people through ongoing cases on the site, there is also an “offline” support at Yad Yitzhak. Consultations, search for volunteers and specialists who could contribute to solving any problems, organizing meetings and events, conducting ongoing projects. All this requires a lot of time and effort, and as they say time is money. Even in volunteer work there are costs, let alone a separate payment to specialists, purchases for the implementation of project activities, and the work of these consultants.
Administrative expenses. Unfortunately, most benefactors do not understand the importance of this item. But donations to cover expenses are not wasted money, they allow the Fund to increase its capabilities, help better and more people. A registered organization is required to keep accounts, and this does not come free. The work of an employee must be paid, however trying to select employees on the principle of “who asks less”, yet, the quality of work, and therefore the quality of the assistance provided, is significantly affected. This also includes communications, Internet, mail, etc.
Yad Yitzhak represents the interests of the people. The fund works only at the expense of donations and is happy with any amounts, whether it is a big check from large companies and wealthy people or a large number of small transfers - 10, 50, 100 shekels, any help is priceless.
Who is behind the activities at the fund? You are- the benefactors!
